AC Milan targets Nigeria’s Tolu Arokodare in search for new centre-forward

AC Milan are reportedly targeting Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare as part of their ongoing efforts to rebuild their attack.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri are in active discussions with Belgian side Genk over a potential deal for the 6’6″ striker, who scored 23 goals and registered seven assists in 45 appearances across all competitions last season.

Milan are seeking a physically dominant forward to complement and rotate with January signing Santiago Gimenez, with club management keen on securing a player in the mould of former striker Olivier Giroud.

Arokodare, 23, fits the profile and budget. His estimated valuation of €20–25 million aligns with Milan’s recent transfer spending patterns and offers a more cost-effective alternative to fellow Nigerian forward Victor Boniface, whose price tag is believed to be in the €70–75 million range.

The Nigeria international, capped three times by the Super Eagles, is seen as a viable long-term solution in Milan’s tactical setup.
