AC Milan has officially confirmed the signing of Luka Modric on a one-year contract, with an option to extend until June 2027.
The Croatian midfield legend arrives as a free agent after ending a trophy-laden 13-year spell at Real Madrid.
Modric, who turns 40 in September, completed his medical examinations on Monday morning before putting pen to paper at Milan’s headquarters.
The former Ballon d’Or winner will wear the number 14 jersey at San Siro.
Modric brings extraordinary experience to Milan, having won six Champions League titles, four La Liga championships, five Club World Cups, five UEFA Super Cups, two Copa del Rey trophies, and five Spanish Super Cups.
He also holds 188 caps for Croatia and featured in 597 competitive matches for Real Madrid.
This marks only the fourth club of his professional career after GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham Hotspur, and Real Madrid.
Modric was reportedly drawn to Milan due to a lifelong admiration for the club, a sentiment previously revealed by fellow Croatian and Rossoneri legend Zvonimir Boban.
