Muhammed Babaginda declines Tinubu’s appointment offer

Muhammed Babaginda, son of former Nigerian military president and Head of State, Ibrahim Babaginda, has declined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment offer.

Recall that Muhammed Babangida was appointed as chairman of the Bank of Agriculture by President Tinubu on July 18, 2025.

According to a statement dated July 21, 2025, Babangida cited personal and professional reasons for turning down the offer.

Despite declining the role, he reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu’s administration and national development agenda.

“I remain fully committed to the vision of a prosperous and self-sufficient Nigeria under your leadership. I continue to hold your administration in the highest regard and stand ready to support national development “,The statement stated.

Furthermore, Mohammed Babaginda emphasized that he lacked the capacity to serve with the required dedication and attention.
