Mamman Daura, a nephew and close associate of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, was reportedly hospitalised in London due to an undisclosed illness.

The report follows closely after Buhari’s passing in London after a prolonged illness.

According to reports, Mamman Daura’s condition is described as “very delicate.” Vice President Kashim Shettima visited him at the hospital while in London to oversee the repatriation of President Buhari’s body to Nigeria.

Notably, Daura is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nigerian politics, known for shaping key policy directions during Buhari’s administration.

The demise of Muhammadu Buhari has been met with an outpouring of condolences, with the Federal Government of Nigeria declaring a public holiday to honor the former leader.
